Robert Paparella

Robert Paparella, professionally known as DJ Peppy, is a celebrated disc jockey and radio personality born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. With a lifelong passion for music, he hosts Peppy’s Music Memories, a show that resonates with audiences worldwide by celebrating the timeless sounds of classic hits.

Career

From an early age, Robert’s love for music was evident. At just five years old, he was captivated by the vibrant melodies of the 1950s and 1960s that filled his family home, inspired by the records his parents cherished. By age ten, he found a mentor in Pittsburgh’s legendary DJ Porky Chedwick, whose iconic broadcasts of 1950s oldies left a lasting impression. Influenced by other notable DJs such as Charlie Apple, Terry Lee, and Bob Mack, Robert’s passion for music grew into a lifelong pursuit.

Present

As a young teenager, Robert saved his allowance to purchase his first record player, sparking a dedicated hobby of collecting vinyl records that continues to this day. His enthusiasm for music, particularly oldies, led him to perform at school dances during his high school years, where he honed his skills as a DJ. This early experience laid the foundation for Peppy’s Music Memories, a platform that has since evolved into a globally recognized show, connecting listeners through the nostalgia and emotion of classic music.
